Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 March 2026
1. Introduction
These terms of service (“Terms”) govern your use of the AI Literacy Audit Tool (“the Service”) provided by DEEP Education, a trading name of DEEP Professional Ltd (company number 16052380), registered in England and Wales (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. The Service
The AI Literacy Audit Tool allows schools to upload policy documents and receive an AI-powered assessment of their AI literacy provision across 9 education dimensions. The Service generates scores, evidence citations, gap analysis, and actionable improvement plans.
The Service is intended for use by school staff (principals, headteachers, heads of department, education consultants) and is not intended for use by children.
3. Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use the Service.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- Each account is associated with one school. Multiple staff members may be added to a school account.
- You must not share your login credentials or allow others to access your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload documents containing malware, scripts, or content designed to manipulate the AI system
- Use the Service to process personal data of children or vulnerable individuals beyond what is incidentally present in school policy documents
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or replicate the AI models or analysis methodology
- Use automated tools to scrape, download, or bulk-access the Service
- Share, resell, or redistribute audit reports commercially without our written consent
- Upload documents you do not have the right to share
5. Pricing and payment
5.1 Free tier
Your first audit is free. No credit card is required. Free audits include the full 9-dimension analysis and downloadable PDF report.
5.2 Single Audit credits
Individual audits can be purchased for £49 each. Credits are applied to your school account and do not expire.
5.3 School Plan
The School Plan is a subscription at £249 per year providing unlimited audits, 10 upload slots per audit, progress tracking, and comparison features. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
5.4 Partner Plan
The Partner Plan (from £999 per year) is a consulting engagement including guided implementation support. Terms are agreed individually.
5.5 Refunds
If an audit fails due to a technical error on our side, the credit is automatically refunded to your school account. We do not offer monetary refunds for credits already used for successfully completed audits. Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
6. Your documents and data
- You retain all intellectual property rights in documents you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to process them for the purpose of delivering the Service.
- By default, your documents are processed in memory and not retained. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.
- Audit results (scores, citations, recommendations) are stored in your account and can be deleted by deleting your account.
7. AI-generated content
Audit scores, recommendations, and action plans are generated by artificial intelligence. While we design our prompts and validation systems carefully:
- AI outputs are advisory only and should not be treated as definitive assessments of your school’s compliance or readiness
- We recommend reviewing AI-generated recommendations with relevant staff before acting on them
- Scores reflect what is evidenced in the documents you upload — they may not capture practices that exist but are not documented
8. Availability and support
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We will endeavour to communicate planned downtime in advance where possible.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated audit results
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by English law.
10. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. This permanently deletes all your data including audits, reports, and action plans.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably practicable.
- On termination, any outstanding subscription period will continue until its natural expiry. No pro-rata refunds are given for early termination.
11. Intellectual property
- The Service, including its design, code, AI methodology, dimension frameworks, knowledge base, and branding, is owned by DEEP Professional Ltd.
- You may use and share your audit reports internally within your school or trust. Commercial redistribution requires our written consent.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
